Filming On Rooftops In Atlanta

Every now and then I like to explore the city for new locations to do video or photography. I’ve known about most popular locations around town for a while, but have never gotten around to posting about it. Since I’m going to start blogging more, I’ve decided to make a list of rooftops and parking garage decks that have cool views for photography and video projects.

Georgia Tech Hotel

I’ve known about this one for years and it’s never too crowded. Occasionally you will find a few photographers here and there, but for the most part it’s a nice quiet location.

When you get to this location just get a parking ticket and drive to the top level — which is level 6. I just went yesterday to do some test footage on my Panasonic GH5s and probably stayed up there about three or four hours. I paid $6 on the way out.

Wrapping Up…

I’ll be updating this post as I visit more similar locations. If you have any suggestions on rooftops that are accessible for photographers and videographers make sure to leave a comment!
